Jennifer Epler

Biomedical Writer and Editor

Hello!

I began a career in biomedical writing after many years at the lab bench. My research was conducted in academia (cell biology, immunology) and the pharmaceutical industry (translational oncology, small molecule drug development). I have prepared and presented countless posters and slide decks, led journal clubs, written manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and contributed text to IND applications. In my experience, data presentation is always enhanced by clear, concise writing.

Communication is my favorite part of advancing biomedical science.

Eventually, I left pharma and returned to graduate school to study the craft of scientific writing and editing. Now, in addition to perfecting the flow of text for scientists, I can translate complex topics in biology and medicine into engaging prose for readers with all levels of expertise. It delights me to create an uncluttered path of logic so that a reader arrives promptly at a place of understanding, pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to achieve clarity.
